What is a Temporary Work (Short Stay) Visa?
The Temporary Work (Short Stay) 400 visa is a type of Employer-Sponsored Visa for individuals with specialized skills or professional knowledge in a field that is not readily available in Australia. The visa is designed for short-term stays and requires a sponsor in Australia. The visa is typically granted for a period of three months, with the possibility of extension to six months in certain circumstances. The applicant’s family members may also accompany them to Australia and study for up to three months, with the exception of language training programs. To be eligible for a subclass 400 visa, the applicant must be outside of Australia at the time of application. It is not possible to extend this visa or apply for it while already in Australia.
